Introduction

(DMPS) Delhi Modern Public School is managed by eminent educationists. Today’s world when the aim of education is multi faced, Delhi Modern Public School is founded within objective to make an individual assimilate certain ideas, which would help them in character building as well as personality development. The genesis of DMPS, Pampore tends its inception in 2002 in a rented building and now has reached to the grand and spacious one at Dhobi Bagh, Kruncoo, Pampore, fully aloof from din and bustle of the urban ambience. DMPS at present has two campuses LPD wing at Kadlabal and High school at Krunchoo. The new school campus at Krunchoo adorned with an ever blooming garden, felicitating swings, a communicative computer lab, a well equipped science lab, a rich library etc. helps to pave the way for students’ betterment. Besides, due significance is attached to inculcate students as to health, hygiene, neatness of uniform, cleanliness of surrounding, discipline and civil manners to dignify their way of life.

Nature

DMPS is a secular, non-religious, non-sectarian, non-denominational institution whose prime purpose is to cater to the dire educational needs of the young boys and girls particularly in and around Pampore. There are separate sections for boys and girls in each class and efforts are on to bifurcate them into two separate wings in future. The medium of instruction is English, but Urdu and Kashmiri are also taught.

Aims & Objective

The aim of education at DMPS is to convert young minds into a living fountain and not reservoir. Over the last few years we realized that young mind is potential waiting to be released through proper education. A highly motivated and dedicated team of teachers play the role of a model for children. Individual care and personalized coaching and regular effort have woven a very vibrant and inspiring environment. Learning is a joy here as teachers make their lessons very interesting by following various methods of teaching viz. Demonstration, Experimentation, Project Work, Play-Way, Home assignment, Micro Teaching, Structure methods etc. Each programme is designed to evolve an individual facet of a child’s personality but stimulating the young naturally and in a natural environment. Major train of thought which underlines the aims, objectives and goals is the development of all student as well adjusted, confident, independent and free thinking individuals. This equips them to face the world when they leave portals of the institution.

Assembly & Moral Education

To inculcate moral values in the students the school starts each working day with the morning assembly, that includes recitation of Quran, Naat, Hamad and a thought for the day. Stress is laid on the universal aspects and eternal values of culture. Short talks are given by the students and the teachers on a variety of subjects and important current events. Every morning, the assembly disperse with a fresh pledge to face the world with confidence and smile.

Small class-size of 32 students provide highly personalized attention. Continuous evaluation, supervision and guidance help students in learning self discipline and human values.

Sir Winston Chirchill once quipped, “ my tastes are simple. I am easily satisfied with the best.” If you also value “the best” in your life then the most important thing you might be concerned is “a sense of self confidence”.
Affection, tenderness and love are the recommended investment to ensure self esteem and self confidence.
In today’s world when the aim of education has been multi faced, the school’s main objectives however is to make an individual assimilate certain ideas, which would help you in character building, as well as personality development. School is six letter word meaning different things for different people. For some, it is the place for fun, enjoyment, meeting friends, breaking rules and so on. But, it is the institution where you enter when you are three and half year old, three and half feet tall. It is place, which instills in you the basic qualities and skill needed to live a successful life.
